Islamabad: August 29, 2010President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed disappointment over the media reports of match fixing scandal and allegations against some Pakistani Cricket players also involved in it in London.
Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that the President who is also Patron of the Cricket Board, taking note of the reports, has directed that he should be kept posted about the developments as to what happened and what is the status of any inquiry that may have been ordered or held in London. The Chairman PCB has been directed to immediately submit a preliminary report about the incident.

INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT PLEDGES AN ADDITIONAL TWO MILLION FOR FLOOD AFFECTEES
Islamabad: August 29, 2010The Indonesian government has raised the amount of relief assistance from an initial one million dollars to three million dollars, Ambassador Sanaullah announced at the special fund raising banquet hosted by the Pakistan Mission, Jakarta Sunday evening, says a press release received from Embassy of Pakistan , Jakarta, Indonesia , here today.
The Ambassador said an Indonesian medical team comprising 42 members will also leave for Pakistan in two groups to take part in the relief activities. The first batch of 21 doctors and staff will leave on Wednesday, the Ambassador added. He said the most renowned business group of the country, the Bakrie Group had also pledged significant aid for Pakistan and their announcement was due tomorrow. He thanked the Indonesian government and humanitarian organizations who have made their contributions for flood relief activities in Pakistan. Mohammadiyah, the National Zakat Agency(Baznas) the PKPU(National Humanitarian Foundation) and MER-C(Medical Emergency Relief Committee) top them all. He also conveyed gratitude to the diplomats and resident Pakistanis who had made donations for the flood affectees and also made further donations at the Embassy’s special fund raising dinner held Sunday.
A large number of resident Pakistanis, members of the diplomatic corps in Jakarta, Indonesian socialites and media attended the banquet making contributions to the flood relief fund.
The guests were briefed about the flood situation in Pakistan with the help of video clips and display of photographs.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Sanullah is shceudled to leave for Medan next week to take part in the fund raising campaign being organized by the Pakistan Mission, Jakarta in coordination with the Honorary Conusl General in Medan, Mr. Musa Ikhwan Shah. There is a sizeable presence of Pakistan-origin Indonesians in Medan and it is expected that significant contributions would be made by them for flood relief activities.
